Garden Retreat

Our client wanted us to design his new green retreat building.  It was an empty shell, and his brief was that it was to be a place to relax and chill out with his friends and his two sons could bring their friends too.  He wanted it to be fun and a good place to entertain but also to work out.  He is a keen cook and has a various array of smokers, and BBQs in his garden.  The client wanted a toilet, so guests didn’t have to go into the house and a kitchen area for mixing drinks. 

Orange was chosen as a focal colour, it is a sociable colour and stimulates the appetite, ideal for entertainment.  We used blue as a contrast on the lighting and furniture to balance the orange out.  We wanted to bring out the character of the family by making it a fun place to hang out.  Since we have completed the work, our client has now built another building in the garden for his gym, which we have also worked on.
